  • Cottage – Shaker Queens

This bespoke kitchen unfolds around a modular island and is set within a residential setting inspired by the charm of a traditional Anglo-Saxon cottage. The project interprets an informal yet iconic style, where comfort, warmth, and a deep connection to nature guide both formal and material choices.

All kitchens and furnishings by Martini Interiors are produced entirely in-house in Italy, ensuring maximum control over craftsmanship and material quality.

    Configuration:
    – Central island with turned, tapered legs
    – Integrated column area with custom storage solutions
    – Dedicated mudroom and laundry space

    Finishes:
    – Oak (solid wood and veneer)
    – Green lacquered finishes
    – Plum-colored slatted wall paneling

    Worktop and Details:
    – Ceramic sink
    – Calacatta Oro marble top (bathroom)
    – Woven straw door panels for ventilation

Soft shapes and delicate tones define a welcoming, harmonious composition. References to English tradition emerge in heritage-inspired details such as exposed hinges on the glass cabinets and the ceramic farmhouse sink, paired with contemporary design elements like ceiling lighting carefully engineered to enhance surfaces and volumes.

The central island stands out for its balanced presence, characterized by slender, turned legs and the structural solidity of oak. Artisanal craftsmanship is evident in the decorated door fronts, pull-out trays, and the cutting board with leather handle—elements that combine functionality with refined aesthetics. A horizontal pantograph mechanism allows the doors to open smoothly, revealing additional preparation and storage areas.

The dialogue between oak and green tones further enriches the composition, enhanced by targeted lighting that highlights materials and textures. Custom baskets optimize internal organization, assigning a precise function to every element. Curved doors define the entire project—from the wall units above the cooktop to the column area, which integrates bespoke solutions such as a retractable upper door, pull-out shelf, side tray, and decorated drawers.

The design also includes dedicated custom features, such as a thoughtfully designed space for pets. In keeping with Anglo-Saxon tradition, a functional mudroom is integrated into the layout, complete with seating, coat hooks, and storage compartments. Doors clad in woven straw promote ventilation for damp garments and accessories.

The circulation path is defined by plum-colored slatted walls that conceal access to the guest bathroom, seamlessly integrated into the paneling with a recessed handle. Though compact in size, the bathroom is meticulously detailed, featuring a Calacatta Oro marble countertop, boiserie paneling, and coordinated wallpaper.

Completing the project is a highly equipped laundry room, fitted with pull-out shelves featuring ceramic fronts to facilitate loading and unloading, dedicated storage for cleaning products, and a hanging rail for drying. A technical space designed with intelligent solutions that maximize functionality and ergonomics, even within limited dimensions.

Fully custom-made, this kitchen combines refined craftsmanship, durable materials, and a timeless cottage-inspired aesthetic. Like all Martini Interiors products, it is 100% Made in Italy, manufactured in our workshops to guarantee consistency, reliability, and superior quality.
